Dr. Andrew Smith
Chiropractor
Our Director, Dr Andrew Smith was born and raised in the south east suburbs of Perth, and loves to call this city home. Feeling called to a life of service, many of his adventures and opportunities have been the answer to the question, 'How can I improve the life of another?' and becoming a chiropractor with a focus on family wellness, babies and kids, was the easy solution.
He is an avid traveller; 2 chiropractic mission trips to India as part of the Hands on India program; 2 summers spent in the states with Camp America, and pre-COVID, a trip throughout Italy, Austria and Germany with his family.
He and his wife Genevieve moved back to Perth after spending a few years living and working in Kalgoorlie, and their firstborn daughter Eleanor came into the world in February 2021, Matilda in July 2023 and Lucy in February 2025.
His highest values are his faith, his family and health, and life mission is to help facilitate the ascension to the best self of each person he is fortunate enough to encounter.
Dr. Jerric Morales
Chiropractor
Born and raised in Sydney, Jerric graduated from Macquarie University and worked through NSW, spending the last three years in Dubbo, Central West NSW , where he loved becoming part of a close-knit regional community and caring for its families.
Jerric's path into chiropractic started through sport. A background in powerlifting, basketball, running and strength training led him to chiropractic care while managing his own lower back issues, and that experience became a passion for the profession.
Drawn west by the Perth lifestyle, the beaches and the sunsets, Jerric was equally excited to join a team dedicated to pregnant mums, babies, children and whole families. He holds a Certificate of Proficiency in Pediatric and Family Chiropractic Care through Pediatric Experience (which is where he and Dr Andrew first met) and brings genuine warmth and a wealth of paediatric and family care experience to our office.
Outside the office, you'll find Dr Jerric at the gym, out for a run, or hunting down Perth's best food spots- always up for something new.
Maddy
Practice Coordinator
Our Practice Coordinator, Maddy, is the heart and soul of our office.
With a deep belief in holistic wellbeing, Maddy is passionate about creating a space where people feel genuinely seen, heard and supported. She believes that we are all reflections of one another, which allows her to meet people exactly where they are with empathy, curiosity and understanding.
Alongside her role at the practice, Maddy works with people navigating seasons of disconnection, change and personal growth. She brings this same gentle, grounded approach into everything she does, with a genuine love for connection and the human experience.
When she’s not at the practice, you’ll often find Maddy immersed in nature, by the ocean, lost in a good book or dancing her way through life.
Dani
Chiropractic Assistant
Dani grew up locally around the market gardens and bushland here in Cockburn. A hairdresser by trade, she's recently reached a time in her life where she was open to a new work challenge!
She is always down for a chat, and her bubbly personality and mum vibes means she loves cuddling a baby whilst parents can get adjusted.
When she isn't in the office you'll find her enjoying the outdoors, with a love of camping and being in nature with her family to unwind and reset.
Karen
Chiropractic Assistant
Karen is the newest member of the Ascension Chiropractic family, although she's no stranger to chiropractic. She was a Chiropractic Assistant many years ago, and her journey in natural health has also included working as an aromatherapist and massage therapist.
Karen has a genuine passion for helping people feel their best. She loves connecting with others, believes in living life with purpose, joy and positive energy, and is all about supporting people on their wellness journey.
When she's not in the practice, you'll usually find her cheering on her grandsons from the sidelines, taking her dog for a walk, or curled up with a good book.
Justine
Chiropractic Assistant & Social Media Star
Justine is our ocean lover and comes to us all the way from Coral Bay, who is currently enjoying maternity leave with her bubba!
A southern suburbs Perth local, she has recently returned back to the old stomping ground after a year up in northern WA.
Excited to be back around the family, when she isn't brightening everyone's day at Ascension, outside the office you can find her on a beach- her self professed happy place, hanging out with her German Shepherd Tilli "The Blowfish Eater", trialling the latest vegan restaurant, or diving deep into her study- well underway completing her Naturopathy degree.
Genevieve Smith
Admin Extraordinaire
Genevieve is born and raised in the south east suburbs of Perth as part of a large family, and values the joy that family and community life brings. She is a brilliant high school teacher, equally matched by her prowess on almost any musical instrument. After teaching science, music, and religion in Kalgoorlie, she stepped into her her role as mother and business owner at the same time, with Eleanor arriving in 2021, Matilda in 2023 and Lucy in 2025.
One of her favourite quotes, by Australia's first saint, Saint Mary of the Cross McKillop, is "Never see a need without doing something about it", and this has fuelled her desire to always go above and beyond to help all those she meets.
Genevieve is in the office periodically helping run the front desk, and works hard behind the scenes on the admin and social media side of the business, whilst juggling 3 children, and supporting her husband Dr Andrew keep the business moving.
